Uses of epoxy polyester coatings

Epoxy coatings are widely used in the inner wall of oil tanks, railway bridges, high-voltage transmission towers, containers, ships, chemical equipment and pipelines, gas storage tanks, etc. It has excellent corrosion resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical strength, and is particularly suitable for corrosion protection and protection in harsh environments.
Polyester coatings are suitable for surface decoration or protection of indoor and outdoor wood products, fiberglass products, and hard plastic products. Polyester coatings are rich in color and have good scrubbing properties, but have poor wear resistance and cold resistance, and are prone to sanding, cracking and falling off.
Performance characteristics
Epoxy coatings have high wear resistance, hardness and strength, and have excellent corrosion resistance and chemical resistance, especially for mechanical impact, water, acid, alkali, etc. It has excellent protection. Epoxy coatings have strong adhesion and can provide good protection in harsh environments.
Polyester coatings have poor hardness, wear resistance and cold resistance, and are prone to sanding, cracking and falling off. However, they are rich in color, have good scrubbing properties, are relatively simple to use, and are suitable for surface decoration such as wood products and furniture.
